WSGames is definitely a scam site

Powerplay Direct got back to Invisible hand about WS Games. As expected Powerplay Direct is in no way affiliated with WS Games even though they share the same design. As I suspected WS Games had stolen the design, pictures and copy all from the Powerplay Direct site.

Mark Whittington from Powerplay Direct emailed to say:

This is a scam and nothing to do with Powerplay Direct.

We get a report like this every couple of months or so. These scammers set up a site using data they’ve stolen from ourselves and a couple of other websites.

The only real action we can take is finding out the hosting company of the website and requesting they remove the offending site.

Fraudulent websites target Christmas shoppers looking for Nintendo DS

It’s not just kids that are fixated on the Nintendo DS this Christmas, so are criminals.  HM Revenue and customs have warned about fake Nintendo DS consoles being imported into the UK. These fake consoles are also potentially dangerous, as their power adaptors have not been properly tested. People are tricked into buying these DS from Asian websites that offer huge discounts. When the fake DS arrives, customers will not only be disappointed but also likely to receive an electric shock.
